Travel Itinerary
DAY 1
Nairobi – Lake Naivasha
This morning drive to Lake Naivasha at the foot of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.
Kenya is home to 64 (9.50%) of the total lakes found within the continent of Africa. Eight of these make up the main lakes in the Kenyan Rift Valley while lake Navisha is one of only two freshwater lakes and situated at the the highest elevation of the Kenyan Rift valley at 1,884 metres.
Check-in and have lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on the lake followed by a nature walk on Crescent Island.
Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2
Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to the Lake Nakuru National Park, the ornithologist’s paradise. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 m (5,755 ft) above sea level. It lies to the south of Nakuru town a in the rift is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s abundance of algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons and other large mammals. Eastern black rhinos and southern white rhinos have also been introduced.
Enjoy a short game drive as you enter the park. Check in at the lodge and enjoy Lunch. In the evening another exciting game drive is waiting in the park. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3
Return to Nairobi - Departure
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Return to Nairobi.
Arrive and transfer to a selected restaurant for your lunch. Airport transfer for your onward journey.
