Vietnam announces Visa excemptions

Today, we received news that Vietnam has announced to resume its unilateral visa exemption for 13 countries as it had been applied before the COVID-19 epidemic hit the country in early 2020.

Citizens from 13 countries including; Germany, Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belarus, Japan and South Korea will be allowed to visit Vietnam for 15 days without applying for a visa, regardless of their passport type and entry purpose.

This waiver is expected to last for 3 years (until 14 March 2025) and extension could be considered in line with Vietnamese laws. Since Vietnam re-opened, application for e-visas are open to citizens of 80 countries allowing them to visit the country for 30 days in a single entry.

More information will follow regarding entry conditions and quarantine rules related to COVID-19 prevention. Contact us and we will be happy to answer all your travel related questions.
