Indonesia - Bali
Maya Sanur Resort & Spa
About the Hotel
Conceptually, the resort is a celebration of Bali’s cultural heritage. However, in terms of décor, it ventures beyond the island to include an eclectic collection of antiques. Reclaimed timbers have been used together with more modern natural materials to create unique interiors rich in character. Old cartwheels have been fashioned into mirror frames, tabletops were once teak railway sleepers and traditional fish traps and baskets are now handcrafted lampshades. The nearby village of Ubud lends itself to shopping and dining possibilities, as well as cultural sites of interest.
About the Rooms
Guest rooms are handsome and stylish, and one of the real joys of a stay here. All rooms have generous seating. Balconies or terraces come standard as well, with some leading directly into the exclusive lagoon pool. Suites add more space and include stunning private infinity pools.
As for dining option, the on-site restaurants offer a wide range of dishes and refreshing drinks. Graze serves hearty international dishes and sidewalk cafe-style fare, while Kuu Izakaya offers a selection of Japanese treats. Reef is where guests can enjoy all-day dining on the beachfront, while Tree Bar provides cocktails.
About Facilities and Recreation
The six-room Spa at Maya Sanur is beautifully done and there is also a Yoga studio, fitness centre, a shared lounge, a tour desk, and luggage storage. Activities offered at the property include canoeing, snorkelling, and cooking classes. Guests can also enjoy free use of the fitness centre.
