Hidden in the lush green jungle that surrounds the historic royal settlement of Luang Prabang, a river — emanating from a flowing waterfall — runs through the heart of this exotic retreat. Taking its cue from the French-Lao architecture for which the town is known, the interiors of the Luang Prabang resort reflect the influences of ancient temples, while luxurious tented villas celebrate the explorer spirit. The 23-room Rosewood Luang Prabang features a bistro and bar; a swimming pool; and Sense, A Rosewood Spa that offers traditional Lao healing therapies.
About the Rooms
The resort offers 23 spacious Luang Prabang accommodations including four deluxe rooms, four specialty suites, three riverside villas, six pool villas and six luxury tents. Each of the resort’s guest housings is bordered by riverbank. The 75-square-meter luxury tented villas include their own private dining areas and wrap-around decks. Lao tradition and French colonial style are sensitively woven throughout the design and architecture, including the use of indigenous materials and locally inspired artwork.

Gastronomic Laotian flavours and seasonally sourced farm-to-table ingredients, all in peaceful and mystical surrounds, define Rosewood Luang Prabang’s unique culinary identity. The Great House is a relaxed colonially-influenced bistro featuring the best of local Laotian flavours. The Elephant Bridge Bar is a perfect place to relax, enjoy cocktail classics with a tropical twist set atop a unique wooden bridge, overlooking a picturesque river.
About Facilities and Recreation
Drawing on locally harvested botanicals, Sense Spa offers serene Laotian therapies designed to cleanse, replenish and balance the body, mind and soul. The oval-shaped pool is in the centre of the property, next to the natural waterfall on a large open space behind The Great House.
