Welcome to Cape Verde! Upon your arrival at Sao Vicente, a transfer will take you to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, taking in the sights and sounds of your new surroundings. Stay the night in the lively city of Mindelo.

Explore the captivating landscapes of São Vicente, where beautiful beaches and ancient volcanoes await. We will begin the journey by strolling through the cosmopolitan capital of Mindelo, taking in its lively atmosphere. Then we’ll discover the panoramic vistas of Monte Verde, the kitesurfing beach of Salamansa, and the music festival and natural pools of Bafa das Gatas. We will have some free time to enjoy a swim in those natural pools. Marvel at the pristine white sands of Praia Grande and at Calhau’s extinct volcanoes, from where we’ll catch a glimpse of Santa Luzia island. Return to Mindelo’s city center via the scenic Madeiral road.

Early morning transfer to Mindelo harbour for a boat trip to your next destination – Santo Antäo (1h crossing). Upon arrival at Santo Antäo we will be drive through the famous “Corda” road, with a few stops at amazing viewpoints, until we reach the starting point of our first hike – Corda to Coculi. Marvel at breath-taking views over terraced crops. Enjoy a descent through the fields to reach Coculi, a small village with the largest bell church on the island. After the effort, share a typical meal in a traditional restaurant. Overnight in Ponta do Sol

Scenic ride of the “Corda” road

Optional tour – Hike from Ponta do Sol to Cruzinha (duration 5h):
Start the walk in Ponta do Sol, and get through the narrow road of Fontainhas, leading you to Corvo “Selada”, with panoramic views over Ponta do Sol and Corvo. Descent to Ribeira, with its water sources, towards Formiguinhas, a small village with beautiful views over the sea. Then, we will reach the abandoned village of Aranhas. Later, we will arrive at Ribeira Seca beach with its characteristic black and white sand, as well as its lava grottos. A perfect place for a picnic. Follow a passage through Motcho beach. Finally, our journey ends in the picturesque Cruzinha fishing village.

Overnight in Ponta do Sol.

lt’s time to leave Ponta do Sol for another wonderful activity – a Paul Valley Hike. Discover the exotic road to Paul valley, the garden of Cabo Verde, considered as the greenest and most luxuriant valley of the country. The path leads from cottage to cottage, crossing vegetable crops (cabbage, tomato, corn, yam, beans) and tropical fruits or grains (banana, guava, sugar cane, coffee …). You will not only learn something about agriculture and botany on this hike, but as well meet the friendly locals and learn about their culture and the local rural life. Overnight in Porto Novo.

Unique – Hike in Paul Valley and discover the local rural life

Today we will discover the southwestern side of the island. In contrast to the north with its rich vegetation, this part of the island is rather arid. Be amazed by the volcanic landscapes and pozzolana fields where beautiful isolated villages can be spotted. Stop at Lagedos village known for its sustainable tourism. Continuing the tour we will be able to sight typical landscapes – unique plantation fields and colourful contrasts displayed by the black volcanic rock. Return to the harbour after lunch for your boat departing back to Säo Vicente.

Discovery of the southwestern part of the island

EEnjoy a day at leisure or join an optional excursion (against surcharge). Option 1) Farewell dinner at Mindelo (2h) Taste a delicious meal based on local dishes, including wine. You will be surprised by the performance of a natural singer from Mindelo, who, accompanied by a guitar, will show you the best songs of this island. Option 2) Snorkeling with turtles (2h) An amazing experience awaits you: swimming with sea turtles! Join this unforgettable diving experience on Sao Pedro beach. In a fishing boat and a few meters from the sand, you will be able to swim and snorkel with adult sea turtles. Overnight in Mindelo.

Free time to enjoy your last day in the “morabeza” islands before you will be transfered to the airport. Say goodbye to the beautiful island of Säo Vicente!
