  • Day 1: Tokyo to Hachinohe

    Your adventure begins in Hachinohe, a city steeped in samurai history locate 2h50 from Tokyo on the Tohoku Shinkansen. After settling into your hotel, join your expert guide for an orientation and mouth-watering welcome dinner.

  • Day 2: Hachinohe to Fudai

    Today, conquer your first hike, starting at Same Station and winding through serene coastal landscapes to Kofunato, where you’ll enjoy a typical seafood lunch. Continue your trek along the Tanesashi Coast, where panoramic ocean views will leave you breathless. Take the train to Fudai where you will spend the night. Walking distance: 9.0km

  • Day 3: Kurosaki Port to Kitayamazaki

    Embark on a challenging yet rewarding hike from Kurosaki Port to Kitayamazaki Visitor Center, where breathtaking panoramas and unique rock formations await. Walking distance: 11.5km

  • Day 4: Kitayamazaki to Miyako

    After a restful night at your hotel, bid farewell to Kitayamazaki and journey to Miyako, a vibrant coastal city. Walking distance: 6.4km

  • Day 5: Kyukamura to Kamaishi

    Gear up for another thrilling hike! Today, conquer Jodogahama Beach, a paradise of turquoise waters and pearly white sand. Savour a delicious hamburger lunch at Penco before catching a train to Kamaishi, a city reborn from the ashes of the 2011 tsunami. In the evening, immerse yourself in the local izakaya (Japanese pub) culture, savouring fresh seafood and lively conversation. Walking distance: 8.0km

  • Day 6: Kamaishi to Ofunato Marumori

    The next day, lace up your boots again and conquer the Toni-Yoshihama section of the trail, where lush forests meet the rugged Kuwadai Pass. Take a moment of reflection at the Tsunami Memorial Shiome before continuing to Ofunato Marumori. Walking distance: 10.6km

  • Day 7: Ofunato Marumori to Kesennuma-shi

    Explore the fascinating Goishi Coast, and delve into the history of the 2011 tsunami at the Tsunami Memorial Museum. Later, conquer the Tsurukame Bridge, and be rewarded with panoramic views of the coastline. Walking distance: 6.4km

  • Day 8: Kesennuma-shi to Mt. Tatsugane

    Today, prepare to tackle Mount Tatsugane. This challenging yet rewarding climb will take you through diverse landscapes, offering breath-taking views and a true sense of accomplishment. Walking distance: 11.2km

  • Day 9: Onagawa Port to Mt. Kinka

    Trade in your hiking boots for island hopping! From Ishinomaki, catch a train and boat to Kinka Island, where a summit climb with epic ocean views awaits. Picnic on the peak before your return voyage, then unwind in Ishinomaki for a relaxed dinner. ️Walking distance: 5.5km

  • Day 10: Nobiru to Shiogama Port

    Bid farewell to Ishinomaki with a morning train ride and coastal hike to Miyato Port. Island hop through the charming Urato archipelago, conquering Sabusawa, Nonoshima, and Katsura Islands. Refuel with a delicious lunch at Togawaya before catching the ferry back to Shiogama. Cap off the day with a celebratory dinner at Pizzeria La Gita and settle into your final hotel. ️Walking distance: 13.5km

  • Day 11: Tagajo Ayame-en to Tokyo

    Lace up your boots for a last hurrah! Hike from Tagajo Ayame-en, past Sosyanomiya Shrine, and end your journey at Shiogama Shrine. Celebrate your conquest with a mouthwatering sushi lunch at Sushi Shirohata, then soak in the final sights of Sendai before your return journey to Tokyo. ️Walking distance: 5.6km
