Today we are heading to coastal town of Omis where the Cetina river flows into the Adriatic sea. The adrenaline infused zip-line polygon is located in Cetina river canyon few kilometers from the city. It consists of eight (8) steel cables across which participants, sitting in a belt, descend down the canyon. The total length of the cables is 2,100 m, the longest of which is 700 m and is 150 m above ground level. It takes about 2,5 hours to cross the entire polygon accompanied by two guides. Before the start, we will have quick training session during which each participant receives their equipment. Your journey begins with a 90 minutes thrilling and pleasant ride in our speedboat to the east side of Bis?evo island, where you will see famous natural phenomenon Blue Cave. Blue Cave is one of the most extraordinary places on the Adriatic Sea. After you will be driven to picturesque fishermen’s village Komiz?a on western side of island Vis, where authenticity has been preserved the most. Cruising around the southern side of the island Vis we will stop to enjoy beach and snorkel time in the most attractive and unusual cove Stiniva. Enjoy a wonderful swim for one hour at Blue lagoon situated between 3 islets on island Budikovac just 10 min away from island Ravnik. There is wonderful shallow water with sandy beach with one coffee bar and restaurant, if you want to have a refreshment during or after swim. After you have discovered the natural beauties of the sea you will be driven to beautiful town Hvar on island Hvar, where you will have free time to explore cultural sights of the one of the most beautiful World’s harbour. Our tours start at the stable in local village called Trilj. Certified instructors will introduce you to the horse and you will be part of ride preparation. Once your horse is ready and everything is set your ride will start. Instructor will introduce you with story about Alkars and their yearly competition which commemorates a Croatian Venetian victory over Ottomans. Enjoy 1 hour long ride along the relaxing flow of Cetina river and refresh your senses listening the birds chirping. Once our ride finishes we are taking you in local tavern where you will taste local food. After breakfast we move from Adriatic coast to Croatia inland, in Lika destination, home of many natural beauties. We will visit most beautiful of them all – Plitvice Lakes national park where you will enjoy hiking between lakes, beneath waterfalls and admire always changing colours of water. Someone wrote: “There are water, lakes, waterfalls and forest elsewhere, but Plitvice Lakes are unique. They simply must be seen! Over one million people every year stop in the Lika region just to be able to enjoy this masterpiece of nature. Through centuries water was carving lakes and forming waterfalls resulting with creation of 16 crystal clear lakes. It is first and the biggest National park in Croatia and the only one put on UNESCO list of natural heritage. After the tour we continue to hotel Mirjana Rastoke for overnight. After breakfast we will embark to andrenaline adventure of navigating the Korana river in rafts through a plethora of wild and untamable rapids and sedge barriers where you will feel a rush of adrenalin and the excitement. You navigate solely through the less accessible parts of the Korana river which makes this an extreme, unforgettable and adventurous experience. Passing through the most difficult and fastest part of the Korana river, length of about 10 kilometers we will pass through beautiful river canyons, and there is no populated areas along the stream. On the way you will encounter a few old and abandoned water mills. In this part of the river there are over thirty waterfalls of which all can be crossed by boat. Today we will meet wonderful family who moved from Croatia capital Zagreb to live in small Lika village to peruse working in the long standing family tradition of tourism and hospitality. They like to say: for each of our guests we prepared special greeting: we offer our grappa, made out of plum and homemade bread and cheese. We do not like to say that we are engaged in classic tourism but actually we like to say that we work in “home hospitality” because we open the door of our home to our guests, introducing them to the countryside life and the Velebit mountain in which we live. Our guests can take part in shading of dried out grass that farmers use as animal food, animal care, goat milking, farming activities and preparation of all goodies for the winter (jam, traditional ajvar, juice, grappa). The youngest members can enjoy riding ponies, playing with rabbits and small goats. Afterwards we continue to Kuterevo Bear Refuge which was founded in 2002 and ever since then bears are the main attraction in the village. Right now, the refuge hosts 8 bears, 2 of which are coming from a Zoo and the rest lost their mothers during their first year of life and thus had no chance of survival in the wild.
