Travel Itinerary

DAY 1
Arrival - Delhi
On arrival in Delhi be transferred to your hotel. Stay the next two nights at Maidens Hotel.
DAY 2
Delhi
You can get no better introduction to the country than from its capital Delhi. On a full day tour, visit the Red Fort, Shah Jahan’s elegant citadel. Continue with a rickshaw ride through Chandni chowk and visit Khari Baoli before making you way to the chaotic Parathey Wali Gali to enjoy local snacks.Later visit the fascinating Humayuns Tomb to experience more of India’s cultural and religious diversity.
DAY 3
Delhi to Chandigarh
Start your day with a drive to Chandigarh, which is also referred to as The City Beautiful due to its beautiful surroundings and central grid of gardens, each dedicated to different species of flora. On arrival in Chandigarh, transfer to hotel. This afternoon visit Chandigarh rock garden an epitome of creativity and innovation before driving past Le Corbusiers Capitol Complex which houses the seat of Government. Overnight in Lemon Tree Hotel.
DAY 4
Chandigarh to Shimla
Drive to Kalka railway station where you will board the UNESCO Toy Train for Shimla. On arrival in Shimla, transfer to the hotel and enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Stay the next 2 nights at Clarkes Hotel.

DAY 5
Shimla
Explore the colourful history of Shimla whilst on a heritage walk. As we head towards the ridge, a short trail leads past the High court building the Clarks Heritage Hotel and onto the Indira Gandhi sports complex, with its half-timbered British houses and many shops.
DAY 6
Shimla to Pragpur
This Morning, drive to Pragpur. Pragpur is India’s first heritage village. Later this afternoon, enjoy a visit to the twin heritage village of Garli. Overnight at Judges Court.
DAY 7
Pragpur to Palampur
Depart Pragpur this morning and head to Palampur. Upon arrival venture to Baijnath and Mahakal Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and considered centuries old. Overnight at WH Taragarh Palace.
DAY 8
Palampur to Dharamshala
After breakfast enjoy the scenic drive to Dharamshala, the home of the Dalai Lama. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Spend the next two nights at Fortune Park Moksha.
DAY 9
Dharamshala
This morning, visit the Dalai Lama Temple. The temple complex is open from sunrise to sunset, and visitors are welcome to explore the peaceful ambience of the surroundings. Venture to the Tibetan Institute of performing Arts which preserves a wide number of musical, dance and theatrical traditions from Tibet. It is an educational and training institute to preserve and develop Tibetan arts and culture.
DAY 10
Dharamshala to Amritsar
Start your day with a drive to Amritsar. The most striking feature about Amritsar is its antiquity. Its central walled city has narrow streets mostly developed in the 17th and 18th century. The city is a peculiar example of an introverted planning system with unique areas called Katras. Stay the next two nights Ranjit Svasa.
DAY 11
Amritsar
Start your day with a visit to the Golden Temple. The Golden Temple is the holiest shrine in Sikhism and is a major pilgrimage destination for Sikhs. Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh, which is known for its most notorious massacre under British rule.

DAY 12
Amritsar - Departure
Enjoy breakfast before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
